I'm nervous about my photo shoot. Can I bring a friend, a relative, or my significant other?
Yes, yes, yes... A million times YES! The more comfortable you are in front of my camera, the more comfortable you will look in photos and the better the outcome for all of us.
I'm really insecure about ___________. Can you make sure photos of me are flattering in that specific area?
Of course! The best plan of action is to tell me ahead of time if you need me to watch out for anything. Whether it's a lazy eye or the way your armpit muffins over a tank top (Those are both of mine), everyone has something they look for to determine whether a photo of them is "good" or "bad," and I want to make sure I know what that thing is for you.
Can you edit out _______________?
I can edit out essentially anything. But please be mindful of clothing choices, makeup choices (Use setting spray!), and other elements. The less work I have to do to editing the small stuff, the more I can focus on the big picture and making sure your photos are everything you've ever dreamed of.
What should I wear?
If you're in for a normal session (1 hour), I recommend three outfits: one "dressy," one "casual," and one "fashion." Here are some tips to help you choose.
Accessorize! Ladies, pair your "plain" outfits with statement jewelry and accent even the most bold outfits with a little bling. Men, a nice watch and sunglasses are absolute musts.
Try on your outfits in advance and look carefully in the mirror at the way clothing calls attention to certain parts of your body. Think about what the camera is seeing and make sure you feel beautiful and well represented in what you're wearing.
Ladies, choose your bras/underwear carefully and bring changes of those if needed.
If at all possible, layer your clothing so that you do not need a restroom to change inside.
How and when do I pay you?
You should pay me at the beginning of your photo shoot. I can take credit cards via the Square app, cash (of course!), or a check made out to "Livvy Kristin Photography." Be mindful of tax if you make out your check in advance, please.
Can I refuse your right to use my photos in your advertisements?
The photos I take of you belong primarily to me, so please make sure, if you are not comfortable with your photos being shared in advertisements, that you inform me in advance so that we can reach an agreement.
What's my shoot going to be like?
What do you want your shoot to be like? I can land anywhere on the spectrum of "High Energy, Become Your Best Friend" to "Don't Talk to Me; Just Tell Me How to Pose." You let me know!
